Causes of delay of justice in the current judiciary system of Pakistan: A Critical Analysis.

Abstract

Justice is an ultimate end of any law which fully reflects in speedy dispensing of the disputed. It is a common proverb, “delay defeat equity”, i.e. justice. Speedy justice is the basic norm of the Islamic judicial system that was highly observed in the Period of The Prophet (SAWS) and his followers. In the later period, when the judicial system failed to provide speedy justice, consequently public trust was lost and as a result other systems took over it and filled the gap.

In this regard, this paper attempts to critically evaluate and analyze the subject matter cited above and tries to find out and highlight the causes of delay of justice and suggest the possible solutions to address and solve the issue.
