Birth and Family Background: Hazrat Maulana Musa Khan was born in 1960 in the southern city DI Khan (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa). His father was Sher Muhammad. He was a very good man. He came from Ghazni, Afghanistan.
Education: After the death of his father, he received his early education from the religious scholars (ulama) in his area. At the age of eleven years, he traveled to Isa Khel to acquire knowledge of religion. And under the patronage of Maulana Mufti Mahmood, he came to Maulana Muhammad to acquire knowledge and read only grammar of Arabic langauge. Later he visited Abakhel town of Bannu district. Stayed for two years, and memorized all the grammatical books including Fusul Akbari (فصول اکبری) and all the grammar books including Caffia (کافیہ). Then he became attached to the footsteps of Hazrat Mufti Mahmood. The Mufti went to his hometown Abdul Khel, where Maulana Muhammad Musa was with him. During his stay in Abdul Khel for two years, he read Sharh Jami,(شرح جامی) Mukhtasar Ma'ani,(مختصر المعانی) Logic including Muslim Uloom,(مسلم العلوم) Literary books including Maqamat Hariri,(مقامات حریری) Usul Al-Shashi,(اصول الشاشی) Sharh Mebzi(شرح مہذب) and also books of Tajweed Qiraat. After staying with Mufti Mehmood for two years, he came to Akora Khatta, where he admitted in the Dar-al-uloom Haqqani of Shaykh-ul-Hadith Maulana Abdul Haq Sahib. He read for two years, memorized all the books of logic (منطق), all the books of philosophy, Euclid, the principles of jurisprudence etc. During the annual holiday of “Sha'ban & Ramadan”, he went Rawalpindi to learn the translation and interpretation of the Holy Quran. While staying there, he recited the translation of the Holy Qur'an with commentary from Hazrat Shaykh-ul-Quran Maulana Ghulamullah Khan and received a certificate of Dawrah Tafseer.
Teaching Services: After graduation (In Islamic Uloom), he started teaching at Mutla-ul-Uloom in Quetta, Balochistan. After that, Maulana Rasool Khan has died at Jamia Ashrafia Lahore in 1971.
Scholarly services and writings: He has written 86 books in his life.
