Abstract

Sahaba karam are the companions of Holy prophet () who along with the reception of spiritual privileges also received direct knowledge from his teachings.  The name of Hazrat Anas Ibn Malik (RA) is one of the prominent names among these companions who devotedly spent ten years of his life in the company of Holy Prophet (ﷺ) as his servant. His narrations revealed that the life of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) as a model for the whole humanity devoid of any spacio-temporal differences. This paper also highlights the simplicity of Holy Prophet (ﷺ) and his amiable and magnamously benevolent towards others is the finest way to enjoy the ecstasy of real life. While recollecting the biography of Hazrat Anas Ibn Malik (RA), his early days of life and his acceptance of Islam this research paper aims to emphasize over urgency of spiritual solace that could only be achieved through selfless devotion to Allah and his Prophet (ﷺ). With specific focus on the years of Hazrat Anas (RA) spent in service of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) this paper significantly allows understanding of the relationship between a servant to the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) as his master. This paper will reflect upon the treatment of a master with his servant in the light of narrations of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). This study finally concludes that servants are needed to be considered as human beings and treated with kindness as the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) preaches.
