A comparative study of women's rights in different cultures and periods with Islamic rights

Abstract

Historical evidences show that there was no one to take care of the nobility and rights of women. They were treated with cruelty. They were treated like animals. They were not given rights. There was no humanity in the people of that era. According to human rights women was considered as decadent and weak that cannot even protect herself. Women are dependent on men from the start of the world. Realityis that the life of women without men is not only difficult but almost impossible.

On contrary, if we take a look on historiographies, it is clear that men oppressed women to the final limits. Everywhere women were treated badly. In this regard there was no salient difference in mannered and unmannered, united and non-united nation and personals. Even though litigating their evolution and social values they were encountered by, either women were enslaved to the trees after death of their husbands, considered more venomous than snakes & scorpions, said to be the welcoming door of shaitan considered as a child production factory, even buried alive but after Islam women are jawed as a sign of nobility. Islam carried women from the darkness of barbarousness to the heights of respect which they would be proud of.

Islam introduced women as a daughter gifted her a noble position of a mother and also gave her a role as a wife to complete a real happy family & society. Islam reserved her rights but also protected her respect. This is the brilliance of Islam that is said:

“Heaven lies under Mother’s feet”
