A Comparative study of Characters in the Novels of Abdul Halim Abdullah and Krishin Chandir

This paper is a comparative study of the character- an important element of the fiction between the selected novels of Egyptian Novelist Abdul Halim Abdullah: Laqitah, Shajarul Lablab and Ghusn Al Zaitun; and Subcontinental Novelist Krishn Chandar: Al Hazimah, Imra'ah wa Alf Ashiq, and Hikayatu Himar. The study describes relation between both novelists' literary trends and their ideological inclinations. It also examines different characters with national and religious issues, or characters with personal and family issues; it compares positive and negative religious characters; strong and weak characters, followed by important comparative findings.
