A REVIEW OF ISLAMIC IDEOLOGICAL COUNCIL’S RECOMMENDATIONS ON FAMILY PLANNING

Abstract

 Population growth has been a major economic problem. Thus the nations deprived of revelation have resorted to unsustainable and superficial way to solve this problem with their intellect.

Unfortunately, we have also been painted in the colors of selflessness and are adopting methods that are against our religious and cultural values and human nature. The Quran' states that: and do not kill your children for fear of poverty. In fact' killing them is a big mistake.

The economic problems can be found in the human population to bring natural and mineral resources.

If the plan is done in the light of Islamic teaching ' the best welfare can be done.

There are two aspects of birth control ' one individual and other collective.

As for as the individual aspect is concerned, it is undoubtedly allowed in Islam, in some cases, but family planning at the collective and governmental level is against the spirit of Islam.
