Abstract

Islam Provides permissible justification for a healthy social activities. Hunting is valid in Islam to seek food, health and happiness through sports in a professional way, with in certain limits. These limits are Mundane rituals and actions called ‘fara’ idh’. Hunting is one such sport and pastime that if not kept within balance, might prove counterproductive. Jurists have specified both approvals (ibaahat) (& disapprovals (Karaahat) of procedures of Hunting. This Research Study elucidates the basic research Questions, as validity of hunting, procedures of Hunting, permissibility of Hunting as Hobby and Pastime. Since Hunting activity is attributable to Nusus Qata’ eeya, Jurists have concentrated on two main aspects of it. 1) Nusus about hunting; that entails certain Ahkaam and divine guidance. 2) The hunters must abide by subsidiary Rules and procedures laid down by Jurisprudents. This research encompasses all these relevant aspects.
