There is no doubt that human intellect has been given a due place and considerable important in the Islamic law system. In the Holy Quran, Allah Almighty has stressed and urged, time and again, humans to use their intellect and common sense which is indicative of the fact that human intellect plays a significant role in Islamic law and it is on the basis of this intellect than humans excel and are above all other creatures. But like other creatures, the human intellect has limitations and is neither comprehensive nor capable enough to perceive and understand all sorts of theistic and secular activities.
Since human intellect has a limited capacity and is not sufficient capability to deal with all sort of secular and religious issues simultaneously, so whenever it tries to understand all-encompassing aspects, the result is that their understanding and insights are generally based on misguided notions, imprecise understanding and aberrant and wrong conclusions. Resultantly, religious obligations are misinterpreted as contrary to intellect and is rejected. Related to these general issues is one crucial issue whether Hadith can be contrary to human intellect and reason or not, whether there can be any difference between human intellect and hadith. This study will have a discussion on such hadiths which are considered as contrary to human reason and intellect and are counted as Hadiths. Therefore, a thorough discussion will be made about these Hadiths in the light of sayings of Islamic Scholars and Muhaddithin and to find to what extent are their objections are correct.
